We're back, bigger and better!

CulpeperCon is a graphic novel and pop-culture-inspired event sponsored by the Friends of the Culpeper County Library. CulpeperCon is a fun, free, family-friendly event that brings together fans and creators to celebrate the importance of stories and fandoms that connect us and enrich our lives. Highlighting graphic literature, sequential art, and comics as a literary medium, CulpeperCon includes a cosplay contest, keynote speaker, games, artwork, graphic novels, demonstrations, and community superheroes giving attendees the opportunity to dive into topics these interest.

Zach Weinersmith

Zach Weinersmith is the cartoonist of the webcomic Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal. He also writes popular science books with his wife Kelly, including Soonish and latest book A City on Mars. He illustrated the graphic novel Open Borders and wrote the poem for the kids' graphic novel Bea Wolf. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Foreign Policy, Science Friday, the Wall Street Journal, the Economist, Le Monde, and other places he can't remember. He lives on an old farm in Virginia with one wife, two kids, three to five cats and one to two dogs.
